New members are always sure of a warm welcome at Fermanagh Concert Band.

Obviously, you’ll need to be able to play either a wind or brass instrument to a reasonable standard – say at least Grade 3.

If you can do this, all you have to do is come to a Thursday rehearsal and see how you get on.

New members always get a few weeks to see how they’re enjoying things before they actually ‘sign up’ so there’s no pressure there.

If you’d prefer to make contact before playing, contact the band via its Facebook page and you can have a chat with an existing member first.

Just to confirm, these are the instruments used in the band: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone (alto, tenor or baritone), trumpet or cornet, French horn, baritone or euphonium, trombone and tuba.

New members must be at least eleven years old but there is no upper age limit.
